Web UI Designer
Create a web site experience which delights the user
Ability to create eye-catching and usable designs, while balancing business requirements and platform capability to create a rich experience
Looking for a creative designer with a rich portfolio of successful web site launches
Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the history of web design for ecommerce and where it is going
Essential Functions:
· Participate in requirements gathering and active reviews of requirements which will drive the development of UI design specifications
· Design the user interfaces and their accompanying design specifications for our web applications and web sites
· Build low and high fidelity design prototypes for usability studies
· Drive Usability Testing and heuristic evaluations of designs and early iterations of working applications
· Identify and offer solutions to existing UI related problems and propose design enhancements
· Develop and maintain GUI Styleguides for various development environments
· Participate in the IA and UA architecture design for all new application development
Qualifications:
· 5 - 7 years experience designing highly usable, effective interfaces for web applications
· Experience with user-centered design methodologies
· Strong information and interaction design experience
· Experience developing conceptual models, flowcharts, prototypes, detailed UI design requirements, and interface designs
· Strong visualization and presentation skills, (for example Illustrator, PhotoShop, Visio)
· Mastery of cross-browser and cross-platform design issues
· Strong skills in prototyping and current front end standards
· BA required
· Positive work attitude, self motivator, quick learner, and a team player
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Candidate will be asked to provide a Portfolio of successful products and demonstrate an understanding of how implementation decisions impact user experience in terms of browser compatibility, accessibility, internalization and performance

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist with personal computer (PC) and laptop setup and configuration.
Provide workstation hardware maintenance, including monitors and video drivers, disk drives, I/O cards, controller cards, network interface cards, memory, printers, workstation and patch panel cabling.
Install workstation software and software drivers. Perform network user account configuration and backup administration.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots hardware and software malfunctions. Maintains and documents microcomputer network, hardware inventory and workstation setups.
Provide customer support to the user population throughout the Software Development organization
Assist with trouble calls that are received daily
Maintain scheduled maintenance and tape backup intervals, including monitoring the health of the network
Continually review future product releases of both software and hardware as they relate to the infrastructure that has been installed
Create and troubleshoot NT/2000 based print queues. Act as the escalation point for Windows 2000/XP/NT desktop TCP/IP issues. Installation, configuration, troubleshooting of Windows 2000 and NT 4.x Server systems
Assist with hardware and software asset tracking
Produce configuration, procedure, and troubleshooting documentation.
Diagnose Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and administration of Personal Storage Files.
Troubleshoot workstation RAS Dial-Up and VPN issues
Contribute to overall planning and solutions
Additional Functions (an added plus)
Diagnose and administrate Lotus Notes servers.
Diagnose and administrate Vantive technical support application.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma is required.
At least 3 years of related experience, including progressively responsible experience and/or training in hardware and software evaluation (e.g. selection, design, purchase, implementation, on-going support).
Candidate must have at least 1 year involvement with microcomputer technology, telecommunications and Windows based Operating Systems.
A two-year certificate in computer science or business information systems from a recognized institution of post secondary education (college or technical/trade school) is preferred.
Must have experience in the following:
· Windows 2000 Client and Server and Windows XP
· WINS, DHCP, NT Domain, Active Directory
· TCP/IP for Microsoft Networking
· Remote Access systems and VPN
· PC Hardware installation and troubleshooting
· Must be a self-motivated team player ready to assist others in solving problems
